DYLAN’S acclaimed premiere was in August 2022 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world’s largest theater festival.

The show depicts imagined backstage encounter between the legendary singer and songwriter Bob Dylan and a hand-picked group of journalists, minutes before his final live performance.

“Everyone thinks they know Bob Dylan; he’s been part of our lives for six decades, but this play shows another, more personal and surprising side.” (John Clancy)

The idea for DYLAN was born at last year’s Thespis Festival in Kiel, where John Clancy (writer, author of THE EVENT), David Calvitto (actor – THE EVENT, and director), and the British AND Thespis one-person theater legend Pip Utton (ADOLF, BACON, WAR OF THE WORLDS – to name just a few) met.

DYLAN is not just a testament to Pip Utton’s skill, or even to Bob Dylan’s ongoing magnetism, but a magnificent exemplification of the power of one man show.
