WHEN THE RED TOYOTA
WENT OFF THE ROAD AND
SANK IN BLACK WATER

Performed an directed by OLGA POZELI

Written by DIMITRIS VERGADOS and OLGA POZELI

A prominent politician from a wealthy family with a big fortune and a lot of charm and a young woman, a journalist, meet at a party.  A graduate in political science from a well known university, she is very interested in politics. After several drinks and a walk on the beach, the politician expresses his interest in her.  They leave the party together.  While driving, the politician loses control of his car - it falls into a dark swamp and sinks into black water. He manages to escape the sinking vehicle, leaving the woman to drown.

In her parable of corrupting power, Pozeli, the Greek actress and director lets the viewer follow the story through the eyes of the woman. An impressionistic jumble of memories and voices from the past is intersected by images from the day of the young woman’s death.  Fragments of thoughts and repeated flashbacks form a chain of decisions leading to the tragic accident.
